This time our goal was the naked Kalbling, and since we started in Steinbach am Ziehberg, a more extensive tour with several peaks was ideal. 🤩
Admittedly, we only visited four summits as we had overlooked the Herrentisch. I've already added the Herrentisch to my Komoot tour below, so you can do the five-summit tour. ✌🏼
We went straight from the car park on the main road up to the Schabenreitnerstein. Afterwards, we continued towards the Pfannstein via the forest road (if you want to include the Herrentisch, it comes before the Pfannstein), until we reached our destination, the nackten Kalbling, via the rough Kalbling. 🏞️

You absolutely have to watch my Reel about it on Instagram:
The hike to the naked Kalbling in Steinbach am Ziehberg
The starting point is the car park, which you can also find as the starting point on my Komoot tour. Afterwards, it goes along the meadow to the Schabenreitnerstein (You can find your own blog post about it hereFor those undertaking the 5-Peak Tour, the Herrentisch is now the next peak.
Before and after the Herren Tisch, you'll arrive at the Alm, where magnificent views of the surrounding mountains await you, before continuing on to the Pfannstein and then the Nackter Kalbling. ⛰️

A great hike throughout, and not exposed (exception: sure-footedness and a head for heights are required for the final metres to the peaks). Regarding family-friendliness: I encountered families with children on all the peaks. Very good fitness is still necessary. 👨👩👧👦
Just before the Naked Calf summit is the Rough Calf summit, which can be conquered as the penultimate peak.

At the summit of the bare Kalbling, you'll be surprised by a small, sweet summit cross. The ridge leading to the summit cross is also absolutely picturesque, and the view of the surrounding landscape is even more so. 📸

Conclusion on the hike to the naked Kalbling
Actually, I was really positively surprised. I've been planning this tour for a while (which makes it all the more annoying that I missed the gentlemen's table) and immediately took advantage of the good weather on the public holiday to do it. 🤩
I'll definitely come back here as I also want to do the 5-summit tour. 🫶
