Today I would like to tell you briefly about our stay at Traunzeit in summer 2022.
During our summer holiday, which my girlfriend and I enjoyed in August, we were always on the lookout for THE breakfast. As a result, we tried out a few places, some of which we made a note of and put on our „revisit list“, while others only needed a single visit.
Today I'm going to tell you about a restaurant that we've put on our revisit list. 😁
Make a reservation at Traunzeit in Wels
I strongly recommend that you make a reservation. We were there on a Friday morning just after opening time and were incredibly lucky to get a small free table.
Despite the large crowds, the waitress was very friendly and informed us right from the start that we would unfortunately have to accept longer waiting times today - this was of course not a problem for us - I was rather surprised by the honest advice.
Long waiting times in the café directly on the Traun?
When we were informed of the long waiting time, we took a seat and began to browse through Traunzeit's fantastic breakfast menu. In the meantime, we were able to help ourselves to the free water, which was already waiting for us at the table, and choose our breakfast in peace.
In truth, the actual waiting time was extremely reasonable - we didn't have the feeling that we had waited longer than average for a breakfast prepared with love. Everything was well within reason.
Breakfast selection - what can you eat at Traunzeit
From fresh pastries and high-quality dishes to fizzy drinks, everything was represented in the breakfast selection. The best quality (at least as we could judge it in terms of taste) and lovingly prepared breakfast had a positive impact on our stay in the café. The regionality of the ingredients was always listed on the breakfast restaurant's website (website no longer available).

Vegan breakfast possible in Wels? Yes!
As vegans, we also got our money's worth at Traunzeit. Everything is perfectly labelled and the selection is simply great. We also highly recommend the „carrot salmon“ - it's really delicious!
Furnishings and feel-good environment
I really liked the furnishings. High-quality furniture, very chic and modern design and a fantastic terrace. Everything seems to have been planned down to the last detail and the furnishings allowed us to relax and enjoy our breakfast during our stay.
Conclusion
My conclusion about the breakfast restaurant on the Traun is that I will definitely have breakfast here again - but next time I will definitely make a reservation. I really enjoyed my time at breakfast and am already looking forward to seeing you again.
Unfortunately, points are deducted for the nearest toilets to the exhibition centre - in my opinion, these are very unhygienic.
