Hi, I'm Elyas – founder of muats drawig and probably out somewhere in the mountains, on a trail, or with Shaggy in nature. 🏔️🐶 With "Muats Drawig" I share real outdoor experiences, hikes, excursion tips and sporting adventures from Austria – with a clear focus on (Upper) Austria, the Salzkammergut and everything that's simply fun outdoors.
Who is behind muats drawig?
I am Elyas Dareshouri from Upper Austria and the mastermind behind muats drawig.
What started as a hobby project has now become one of the largest outdoor and leisure platforms in Austria – a truly large and fantastic community has formed, both on the blog and on social media.
Every month, I reach several million people through my channels with hiking recommendations, outdoor inspiration, and leisure tips. Naturally, humour is also included. 😀
With 'Moutain Trails Austria' you'll find out how you too can spend your free time in Upper Austria or which mountain is ideal for you. In addition to your personal responsibility, which is always important for a tour, I will provide you with lots of other important information for planning your tours.

My passion for the outdoors
Sport and nature are my daily balance.
Whether it's a short after-work spin, a long mountain tour, a trail run or a spontaneous bike ride – the main thing is being outdoors and having fun.
I love discovering new places, finding hidden spots and getting people excited about exercising in nature. There's no gatekeeping with me – meaning, you'll always know where I am and how you can experience this nature yourself. After all, nature is for everyone.
And yes: sometimes it can get completely absurd on social media too.
Vegan on the go
My drawing now clearly stands for a vegan lifestyle.
This means: When I recommend restaurants, products, or places to eat, I am consciously making sure that they fit this lifestyle.
For me, a sustainable outdoor lifestyle isn't just about being active outdoors, but also about the decisions made around it.
My loyal companion: Shaggy 
If you've been following me for a while, you probably already know him.
Shaggy joins us on many tours and is now a firm fixture at muats drawig. In reality, he's the real star on social media.
Some of my most beautiful adventures would definitely only be half as good without him.

Michael is a talented amateur photographer, a devoted dog dad, and has a penchant for unusual activities. Trips from Salzburg to Jesolo with over 4000 metres of elevation gain by bicycle are a Sunday outing for him. He occasionally contributes stories of his adventures to the blog.
