A family excursion for young and old is offered by the Trail of the Senses to the observation tower in Haag am Hausruck. If you want to experience a half-day or day trip, you have the opportunity to do so in the beautiful Hausruckviertel.<\/h2>\n

We spontaneously visited the observation tower in Haag am Hausruck on 7 January 2023 and immediately took the opportunity to visit the Path of the senses<\/a> viewed. \ud83d\udc41\ufe0f\ud83d\udc42\ud83d\udc44\u270b\ud83d\udc43 The little hiking trail is perfect for all ages and the little ones among us can also experience a lot and use their human senses. There are various stations for the kids and the parents have their hands full photographing these experiences \ud83d\udcf8 and keeping up with the children on the uphill sections. Dogs also enjoy the hiking trail - but the Path of the Senses is not suitable for pushchairs (root paths, steps, etc.). This can be remedied with the forest road.<\/p>\n

Directions and parking facilities <\/span><\/h3>\n

This time we travelled by car so that we could take Shaggy with us. Travelling by bus to Haag im Hausruck is also possible. <\/span><\/p>\n

If you are travelling from further afield via the A8 motorway, you can exit directly at Haag am Hausruck and drive to the Luisenh\u00f6he valley station.<\/p>\n

There are several car parks at the valley station - I don't think it will be too difficult to find a parking space. \ud83c\udd7f\ufe0f<\/p>\n

Start and access - details of the Trail of the Senses to the observation tower in Haag am Hausruck<\/h3>\n

We started the hike at the valley station at car park 1. From here, the trail is very well signposted and you follow the signs in the direction of the viewing platform or the trail of the senses until you reach the Haag viewing tower at the end. The trail is great fun, you cover a few metres in altitude, there are many stations for the children and a few root paths round off the whole thing nicely.<\/p>\n

There are photo opportunities along the entire hiking trail. There is a refreshment stop at the high ropes park at the Waldschenke (after approx. 2\/3 of the hiking trail).<\/p>\n

    Last stop: Haag am Hausruck observation tower<\/h3>\n

    You've made it! Now you've reached the observation tower in Haag - and if you're not afraid of heights (like me), you'll be at the highest point in no time - namely the 32 metre high tower. <\/span><\/p>\n

    It took me a while as the wind \ud83d\udca8 was really strong and the tower was shaking slightly - but I overcame my fear of heights so I can show you some great photos in my gallery below. <\/span><\/p>\n

    The climb was really worth it for me and the view was definitely worth the whole hike.<\/p>\n

    Conclusion on the hike along the path of the senses<\/h3>\n

    As it was a spontaneous trip and I hadn't really done any research, I unfortunately underestimated the wind that day. I wasn't dressed warmly enough and I got cold relatively quickly, but it was clearly my own fault. \ud83e\udd76 I don't know if it's generally windier or if it was just like that on that day, but one thing's for sure: next time I'll equip myself better.<\/p>\n

    It's a short, beautiful and varied hike, which I definitely recommend at this point. Grab the kids, your dog and the grandparents and go on a great family outing together up to the viewing tower in Haag am Hausruck. You'll find pictures to get a taste for it below.<\/p>\n
